My mom recently went to visit her mom. She lives in the village. Takes a couple of hours to drive there. My mom usually takes a taxi or cooperates with other siblings to go together.
As she came there this cute puppy met her there. She said she doesn’t know if he’s friendly or not, he looked happy because she was with someone this dog knows.
This is their indoor cat, the one who’s privileged to walk everywhere and cuddle with people.
These two cats are outside cats, the real hunters and workers. They keep their house from mice.
They still have a lot of snow there as you can see.
Now photos of some homemade food. My Grandma makes her own bread as long as I remember her. She used to bake it outside, 10 loaves at once, but it was when a lot of kids and grandchildren would come for summer break (about 30 years ago)
This is our national dish Beshparmak, which literally means five fingers. So people used to eat it with hand, nowadays of course most people prefer to use forks:-)
This is an apple pie made by my mom, one of our favorite pies.
My mom got a bunch of eggs from home grown cage free chickens. She was going to share them with my brother’s family.
Now more of a national pastries. The round big once are called shelpek, the smaller ones are baursak (they are like donuts).
This is a mosque that was on the was on the way while driving.
I love the clear blue sky in our steppes, it’s even better during sunsets.
The puppy is saying bye-bye to everyone!
