That afternoon, I wandered into the small forest behind my house. I had actually often explored this forest to look for photography objects, but this time I wanted to try something different—taking pictures with a black background. I brought simple equipment: a camera and a macro lens.
While walking through the bushes, I found a plant with striking red fruit, which turned out to be a Bloodberry. Its round shape, bright red color, and slightly shiny, made me immediately think this must be the perfect object to try with a black background. Not far from there, I also found a small flower from the fart leaf plant. Although the name is a bit unique, the flower turned out to be very beautiful! The tiny white petals with a dark purple center provide an extraordinary contrast.
I started photographing the Bloodberry first. This red fruit looks like it is "glowing" in the darkness.
As for the fart leaf flower, because of its very small size, it took a little more effort. I had to stabilize the camera and play with the lighting to make the details of the petals come out clearly.
The end result is truly satisfying. Bloodberry looks so elegant and steals the show, while the fart leaf flower gives a subtle yet attractive impression.
