I'm back! So how are you guys? In the midst of my 2 weeks with my boyfriend, I did give myself and the bestie time to enjoy ourselves. So we booked this concert and got tickets last December (around the 1st week). We both love her as both an artist and as a person and seeing her perform in manila was definitely a no-brainer for us, we had to see her!
So with the use of my credit card XD we bought the VIP standing because the tickets sold out ridiculously fast. And that was no joke. Like 20 minutes since the ticket sale opening, we almost ran out of slots. t was just crazy.
Fast forward to the 31st and it was 5pm and we were queuing in line at the concert venue. My boyfriend went to Shangri-la mall to visit the legostore and even found a concert of his own to watch as he saw the impeachment strike for the vice president. That being said, it was a long wait for us and they only started letting people in at 7pm.
The stage was ready and I was really hoping that the featuring artists would be performing as intermission and not as opening acts. Either way, even as the opening acts, we were not disappointed.
The first opening act, Ena Mori. She's half Japanese and her songs were really funky, A mix of aurora, I see it and a mix of her own fun culture and personality. It was Ike seeing aurora in an EDM light and it was just so cool. She warmed up the stage for a good 40 minutes and even that pleased my ears so much.

The next opening act was a group called Yaelokre which had this dungeons and dragon bard appeal. Like... Their songs focused mostly on storytelling than anything. They weren't so emotional like the first act but you really have to appreciate the vocal range the lead vocal had and the way they used their strings to create that adventurer vibe. It was just soooo cool but definitely not my cup of tea.
These were sent to me by my best friend XD it was cute and the vocalist was a little bunny boy.
Then came the highlight of my evening! It was aurora!!!!
To say she was beautiful was an understatement. She was ethereal in all sense and the more I watched her, the more she truly seemed like a fairy or a fake to me and my god did her voice and songs give me goosebumps while she performed live!
It was just all to amazing and I am so sad we were at the back of the standing VIP so I couldn't even take good videos of her performance. But with her voice and her background singer's voice. I felt like I was watching a ritual and not a concert XD like a Nordic ritual that could basically possess people. To add to the fact hat her background was just as eerie as her voice. The entire performance just sent me chills.
And if she ever decides to perform here again, I definitely would be there. Or if I'd be in Europe by then, I would watch as many times as I can. Now I only need to hear hozzier and a few other artists on my list XD but this was definitely a memory I want to repeat over and over again.
At some point in the concert though, a fan group started giving away roses so we could raise it on some songs she had.
From that night, I do hope she enjoyed doing her concert here as much as we enjoyed witnessing her perform live.
