I never thought I'd say so soon, It's hard to return. Better said would be... It's even harder to return!
I refer, of course, to getting back to writing, to blogging, to Hive. In the more than seven years that I've been writing here, only once I took a three-month break when I really thought I was going to quit, but I was helped to come back.
Now unexpectedly the many short vacations have prompted more breaks for writing.
The sea is my favorite place...
I didn't betray it on this, it was probably, the last trip this year. While it may look like a mountainous area, this is just the view from the back of the hotel.
It was, once again, a hotel further away from the sea, which has two advantages: it's cheaper and quieter. Moreover, the great distance encourages longer walks.
A 2 km walk always brings me to my favorite street that leads down to the sea.
This street, which now I realize I don't know what it's called, a short sloping street towards the sea that connects the old town to the tourist part, with hotels and restaurants.
In a courtyard on this street, there is a parrot that I see every year, for many years, I don't even know how many.
I've never seen people in the yard, only this parrot!
Very close, on a balcony, a Husky dog that seems to look out to sea from afar.
Short but full street of visual attractions designed to distract attention from the sea.
The small terrace nearby has been our favorite for many years.
After so many years it was time to part. With regret, I found that something had changed, not for the better, with the restaurant. Probably the last meal here.
The sea begins to show, timidly, through the branches of the trees.
The street leads to a park which means the shortest route to the new town, the part at sea level, the place occupied by tourists.
Still in the old part of the city, here is the house of the mayor, the famous mayor who took care of the city in the interwar period, when Queen Maria of Romania spent her summers at the nearby castle.
The sea is getting closer...
The sea is even closer...
The old town has been left behind and the new, modern part appears in contrast with the stone buildings of the last century.
The sea is just a few steps...
The landscape is changing radically. Another world is the world of vacationers and tourists. On one side the promenade is flanked by terraces and small souvenir shops.
On the other side, the master is the sea—the Black Sea at Balchik, Bulgaria.
The evening she seemed to come faster than usual. It was the first half day of this vacation.
As I said at the beginning... it's hard to get back. I mean the writing. It is hard and I tried here to make it easier, I chose to write a kind of photo-reportage of how I got from the hotel to the sea. Photos are the greatest help. The whole vacation is saved, in chronological order, in the camera's memory. I have shown a few selected images from the first 50 photos and will try to do the same with the rest.
