Today is Tuesday, 08/22/2023. I think everyone who wants to know what today is knows what I wrote at the beginning. Even though I often don't know what day it is, because I don't care about that anymore, that's not why I started with such precise coordinates of this day.
I like to think of myself as a photography lover and the fact that I am accepted into this community, Photography Lovers, may be proof that this is so.
I have noticed from reading colleagues' posts, but also from looking at mine, that we all, when we make a post, use, in the vast majority of cases, photos from personal archives, random photos taken over time, or photos taken on the same day, but from the past. Rarely are photos taken on the day the post is written and published.
Today three more passionflowers bloomed in my yard. I'm hurrying to photograph them. For two reasons.
The first is that I want to know when I look back over this post in time exactly what day these flowers came in.
The second reason is that passionflower remains in bloom for less than 24 hours. If I'm not careful, I miss the moment...
... and all I'm left with is this image of the consumed flower!
Thinking about how ephemeral things are and how quickly they can be forgotten, especially by those my age, I got the idea that it would be interesting to do some posts using images taken that day as well. All the photos should be from that day, the day I publish the post! I mean today, which I will turn into a tag, #today.
Also today I took a walk in the park near the house. So close to home that I can consider it my garden.
My intention was to take a short walk... thematically. The theme is photographing those who are in the park for a walk...
... passing through,
... sport,
... work,
... rest,
... homeless people,
or with children.
All these events and photos were today. Tuesday, 08/22/2023!
