The mating moment of a pair of butterflies

in #hive-1949136 days ago

According to Wikipedia, the scientific name of this butterfly is acraea terpsicore. I took a picture of it yesterday morning when this pair of butterflies were having fun making love. At first I didn't notice their presence as they were having fun in the bushes growing in the empty garden in front of the house. I only realized their presence when the wind blew quite hard, making the weeds where they were perched sway until they flew to the branches of another bush.

You can't claim as a #photographylovers if you miss a moment of a pair of butterflies mating like this. That's why I rushed into the house to get my smartphone and the external lens that I usually use when taking macrophotography. Then, I was almost disappointed when after leaving the house complete with photography equipment, I no longer saw the pair of butterflies in their first place.

Only after searching for five or six minutes, I found this pair of butterflies again, still linked to each other as I saw earlier. It's just that the place they chose now, was a bit more closed than before. Now they perched on the grass growing under the acacia tree and I think this place was chosen to avoid the gusts of wind that would disturb their lovemaking process.

I approached both of them very slowly. This is a sacred moment, I don't want to disturb it, I don't want my presence to ruin this happy moment instantly and they have to separate themselves first before they enjoy the pleasure of mating together.

But my intention was only valid for a few photo angles. Because after that, this pair of butterflies, while still intertwined with each other, flew again and then perched in another place. I followed them several times as they moved places, until after I felt enough with the photos I got, I left the two of them who were still united in the moment of marriage which if measured the duration had lasted more than twenty minutes.

As for the results of the photos of the sacred moment of this pair of butterflies as I attached in this post. I hope you are also infected with happiness witnessing this happy moment. Cheers and wassalamu.
