Is this a bull?
On our little #wednesdaywalk Joy made a discovery. We were just roaming around the village when we approached some bulls.
Joy seemed interested. He didn't bother to greet them as he knows that he is a Bulldog. So funny how the two look alike. The same expression of Huh, who the hell are you?... lol.
I'm gonna walk right through the mud and feel the vibes... Joy must have thought and walked through their belongings. Damn, why caring about moms car?...lol.
He is so super cute. Joy was like Mehhhh I'm gonna walk over there and talk to them...
The bulls were curious and first I thought I let Joy sniff them, but I know my dog. I didn't wanted him to walk into the fence as he would have otherwise. Joy is super-friendly but I wasn't sure how the cows will react and didn't want to spook them.
I think the bull told Joy how to behave as he started grazing.
You sure have to look twice, knowing who's the bull and who's the dog here lol.
Little Bulldog history:
Bulldogs were used for bull-baiting and dog fighting. The dogs were trained to "play low," keeping their head close to the ground in order to avoid being caught and thrown in the air by the sharp tips of the bull’s horns. A dog needed to grab the bull by the nose and pin it to the ground.
In order to survive, the Bulldog needed tremendous jaw power, so Bulldogs were selected for their short muzzle and wide lower jaw. In time these characteristics became distinguishing features.
The original Bulldogs had to be ferocious, courageous and almost insensitive to pain. These days they carry some of these traits but due to modern over-breeding they became mainly ill dogs.
Bull-baiting gained popularity in the early 1800s until it was made illegal by the Cruelty to Animals Act of 1835. This bull surely appreciates a ban, so do I as animal fights are cruel period.
Humans should do better, in the end we are all animals and we all carry feelings, emotions, social intelligence, love. This bull is not so much different from us, he just speaks a different language.
