It’s been a while since I last participated in the POB photo contest, so I wanted to dedicate today’s post as my entry for the contest. The current theme is an intriguing one: the color BLUE!
I enjoy having colors as themes for photo contests because colors have a natural way of drawing us in. We make countless choices in our daily lives based on colors. For instance, we often choose clothing that reflects our favorite hues. It’s as if we’re always, either consciously or subconsciously, influenced by colors—even when we don’t realize it.
In my case, whenever I go on photo walks, if it’s possible, I always aim for the magical “Blue Hour”!
Every time I set out to explore a place in the city, it seems that photos look much better under the blue sky just before night takes over. It’s that fleeting moment of the day, lasting only a few minutes, that makes it so exciting to capture scenes during this specific time.
I feel it adds a unique touch to the photos I take.
With all the places I’ve walked through, it’s hard to choose a favorite because every place has a unique aspect that I appreciate. Comparing apples to oranges doesn’t seem wise, as none of them can truly be considered better than the others.
Every place I’ve visited has a distinctive quality that I feel responsible for discovering and capturing in my photos.
Some places have a serene vibe, and I aim to showcase that by highlighting their natural beauty.
In contrast, there are spots with a vibrant, exciting atmosphere where I focus on capturing the full spectrum of colors they offer.
Then, there are places with incredible architecture, where I tend to make the structures the main subject of my photos.
These are the conscious decisions I have to make while on a photo walk. My goal is to reveal the hidden beauty that’s often overshadowed by the distractions in the surroundings.
Every place I visit has its own story to tell, and capturing those unique moments through my lens makes the experience even more rewarding. Whether it’s the tranquility of nature, the vibrant energy of colors, or the grandeur of architecture, each photo walk is a new adventure. I hope these captured scenes inspire you to see the beauty in the little details around you.
