Hello friends ❤️
Hello friends, how are you? For a long time I was absent from the Hive Blog photography community due to my multiple occupations, including college, work and a move. However, I have always wanted to be an active part of this artistic community. Today I bring you some photographs from a project in which I had the opportunity to participate thanks to an invitation from a colleague and event organizer.
Unfortunately, due to illness, I was unable to attend the final event, which I deeply regret. Despite that, I was able to be part of the previous photo challenges, in which I had the opportunity to work with several models. What I loved most about it all is that it was an editorial photography contest with a growing popularity in recent years in my city. I show you the results as I tell you about it:
I never imagined that I could participate in this contest, but with effort and making myself known, anything is possible. I was invited to be part of this project and collaborate with my talent. In total, there were 17 models, both men and women, all of them with incredible skills. The goal was to capture the editorial essence using unique colors.
The challenge I led was called "Full color", in which each model had to demonstrate their talent and combine colors that reflected their personality and essence. In addition, I decided to do the sessions on location, but keeping the aesthetics of a studio. To achieve this, I used a high-speed flash to soften the hard shadows. We even decided to do the sessions at unconventional hours, from 1pm to 7pm.
The process of capturing the photographs was intense and took about 6 hours. I was amazed by the ability of the participants, who were new to the world of editorial photography, to express editorial poses and gestures. That was exactly what I was looking for in this project. Prior to the challenge, the models took the time to research, practice and familiarize themselves with the editorial style, and they honestly exceeded all my expectations.
Through this project, I was able to appreciate the talent and dedication of the participants, as well as their ability to adapt to different challenges. It was an enriching experience both for them and for me as a photographer. Although I was not able to be present at the final event, I feel grateful to have been part of this process and to have contributed with my creativity.
In summary, despite my absence from the photography community, I had the opportunity to participate in an exciting editorial photography project. Through challenges and collaborations with talented models, I was able to experience and capture the editorial essence with unique colors. I appreciate the invitation and hope to continue participating and growing in the world of photography and art.
I hope you liked my results and my story about this experience, soon I will upload more photos of the project.
