To be honest, these photographs were some left overs I didn't use in other posts. I thought a great way to bring them to life would be to put them in black and white, so that I did. The one above is a farewell to the cherry blossom season in Japan that recently ended in my wick of the sticks.
The photo above was one I took at a temple recently in this post, but for some reason I left it out and I am glad I did as it can be used in this post. I really liked how the traditional Japanese building's roof blended well with the micro budding stems of the leafless tree. It looked rather artistic and I think in mono, looks even better.
The shot above was taken on a night walk experimenting with the camera in the dark. I rarely ever take photos at night especially outdoors because of the lighting. But it is always good to get to know your camera in all conditions. And that I am doing.
These two photos were taken by lake that was burnt to prepare it for the coming change of season I believe. Not sure why else they would do that. In the winter, the water in the lake is less and stays in the middle, but as the rainy season comes and drags its feet, it expands. So I think they burnt it to prepare and make the waters a bt more habitable for the fish and other aquatic animals? What is your take?
