Today being Saturday, I was hoping to do another photo shoot. After checking the weather forecast, I had to realize I may not have as much sun as I want. Ok, let's be honest, the weather forecast said overcast (no sun), but I thought who knows, maybe they are wrong. In the morning I had to realize I was just kidding myself as there was overcast and gloomy all morning but I went out anyway.
Today, while roaming around to see what interesting things I can photograph, I was thinking that these are the days in which nature is teaching me to appreciate little things. In Transylvania we (should) have four seasons, and as I mentioned above, there's not much to photograph during winter, if there's no snow. Which means it becomes a challenge, that can be even fun, if you know where to go and where to look.
Today I came across these funny leaves in a park, where during spring, summer and autumn there are flowers.
Obviously I have no idea what kind of plant this is, but these leaves are lovely.
As you can see there are two colors there, orange with black (I think) and dark purple with dark blue (I think). All on one branch. This makes me think that one is in an earlier phase, while the other is close to being done. If I were to guess, I'd say first it turns purple, then orange, but it's just a guess. There's a clue though, indicating that I may be right. One of the purple leaves on the photo above has a little bit of green, that makes me think I'm right.
Then I found these cuties. I need to mention that these are very tiny leaves, 1cm long max as this is macro photography. And here comes the question again. How can these tiny leaves survive? When did these grow?
Have I ever told you how much I love red leaves? I guess I have, several times 😀 These are especially cute as are so tiny.
Next I found this fluffy thing. Again, I have no idea what it is, what fruit or flower could result in this fluffy thing at the end of the year. All I know it grows on the tree.
Having a closer look, these may be seeds.
Then a few steps away I was able to find some answers to my question. On a branch there were these fluffy seeds and also those black berries. At first I thought the berries would open and create these fluffy things but I was wrong as the berries are juicy inside. So ... the question still remains.
I was able to find a rose hip, a single fruit. This poor thing is still hanging on, I don't know for how long.
Last, but not least, there was this little red thing hiding.
It was a fun day, even though the wind was blowing like crazy, making my job a lot harder, making me take a bunch of photos till I could shoot one right and it was cold too, but life would be boring without these challenges, isn't it?
Anyway, I have no reason to complain. Some of the regions outside the Carpathian mountains are fighting the cold and dark, they have no electricity as the strong wing has done serious damages.
So which one is your favorite today?
