Yesterday in my post I told you I visited an event that was full of excitement. There was something for every taste and among the new things I noticed a flower composition exhibition, which attracted a lot of people. At first I did not know what it was as I missed the main entrance and arrived from the back. It seemed strange that the majority of the people are taking photos at the other side, but was not bothered by it as I don't like people ruining my photos.
The size of the exhibited flower compositions were not small at all, which made it more unique and interesting. This was huge basket of flowers and to look more organic, more close to nature, the basket was made of reed I believe.
There were smaller ones too, but still bigger than what you usually have at home. I need to mention that these were all natural flowers, there were no artificial ones.
Yesterday was very hot, the sun was burning everyone and everything, so these flowers were at risk, but organizers and exhibitors have thought of this situation too. The place has an irrigation system that waters the grass all the time, so there was water for these flowers too.
These balls were funny and cute as well.
Basically there were 3 big balls made of thin branches (how do you call those?) and decorated with a flower wreath each. Now at a closer look I can see some of the flowers don't looks so fresh, but those can be replaced.
Modest, but still nice. I wouldn't mind having one on my porch each day :)
These were more complex. A doll dressed in moss and her skirt was made of succulents. This is art in my eyes.
A big blue butterfly, which I did not like as it looked so artificial.
This would have been nicer without those feathers, but I see those are almost everywhere. Most likely the designer was a huge fan of them.
Now this is my cup of ... wait, my cup of what? My cup of flower I suppose. If you have a closer look, the moss on the cup may not look so green, but I still appreciate it better than some perfect looking plastic imitation.
Here i cropped the photo for you to be able to see the top of the cup. Apart from the feathers, the rest is real.
Another modest one, with some nice white daisies on top.
Such an exhibition is a good occasion for the flower shop to attract clients.
The lady, or the queen of the exhibition? I'll let you decide. I wanted to take some close-up photos here, as I liked this a lot, but most of the people were taking selfies, which not only took ages, but they stood next to the lady, till they uploaded the photo to God knows what social media platform. Looks like there's no life without selfies and instant upload to stupid platforms these days. Nothing is as important as showing off it seems.
Here's a cropped photo for you, but the quality is way lower than a close-up photo would be. Sorry, I'll do better next time.
Looking at this one, I might be wrong as those big ones are not feathers, these are supposed to be leaves, but I failed to recognize them. Sorry.
This was one of the gates. There was another one, which was the main entrance, but I gave up on waiting for people to finish taking photos of themselves standing under these flower garlands.
I didn't know what to think of this at first, but turns out I was the only dumb one there. Others knew right away what this was, stood between the two things and took 10 photos each as each one had to be millimeter perfect. So these are angel wings if you're dumb like me and don't recognize them.
And here there was Thomas, the train.
You could take a fun ride around the place.
In case you're wondering, no, I did not take the ride 😃.
