The title of the post may look like a joke to those who know what kind of weather we've been having the last few days, but the weather is coming and going, changing all the time. Saturday for example the sky fell off, it was raining so abundantly, I thought the end of the world was here. Then yesterday it started raining, then it stopped, so I thought I'd go to the grocery store for a quick buy. Till I got out, it started raining so heavily I could barely see anything. Till I got to the grocery store, I was totally wet.
This morning it was gloomy, overcast and cold. I left home with my umbrella and beanie in my bag, just in case the sky wants to fall down again. Lucky me, there was no rain today, only a light snow that wasn't scary but was cold. Now it's sunshine. Yeah, it's April.
In other years I remember I got frustrated with the weather as I was fed up with gloomy days and cold, but not this time. I guess this war has thought me to appreciate what I get and shut up. It is what it is. Life is 10% about what happens to you and 90% what you do about it. Rain or shine, I have a home, food on the table, I'm safe and healthy, so why complain, right?
Spring is here as you can see. I saw these small leaves and I could not be happier. The majority of the photos were taken with the macro option, so may look big on the screen, but they are barely 1.5 - 2cm. Look at these cuties.
I wanted to make a photo shoot about these buds because I have a feeling it's the first and the last one. This whimsical weather can't take forever and as it has happened in past years, we may not have spring at all as we could jump directly at the beginning of summer. Which means nature will have a jump, instead of a slow process.
Looking at these tiny leaves, I'd like to see a video at fast speed about their growth. Would be a nice experience for sure.
This was an interesting find. The tree is old, covered by moss and all the side branches cut. Yet, there's this new life growing. Nature has its own way of designing things, but I'm afraid vandals who have nothing better to do will damage it soon.
Daffodils are starting to wake up as well. I'm not sure how long it takes to open, I suppose a week or two. Will be watching :)
And here's the first cherry flower and the only one I could find. It was among a bunch of branches, could barely reach it. There were a lot of buds, so I suppose in a few days there will be more flowers. I'll be back with this!
It's not a secret that I love colorful leaves. Usually autumn is the season when you can make the most of it as nature is very generous then, but there are exceptions from the rule, like these rose leaves in spring.
These leaves are red when they are small, then go green when growing.
These are the little things in life I am appreciating right now. I stop whenever I see something interesting, take a few photos and admire their beauty, even though people are looking at me in a strange way. There are plenty of things to appreciate in life, you just have to open your eyes and see what's around you. This is my daily dose of relaxation.
