Imagine that

in #hive-1949133 years ago

Today it was a rainy day so I didn't had any shooting opportunities outdoors and my hard drives were occupied my a massive back up that I was postponing for ages so no pictures from the archive either. Nevertheless I have for you a few pictures from a humble geranium that grows in a pot at the front yard. It is not the most impressive flower but the moody weather and the droplets of rain gave a quite interesting combination or at least I think so. And most importantly it was so close :)

I have to praise of course my 100mm macro lens for one more time, half the credits should go to canon for this amazing piece of equipment! And I should thank @traisto for patiently holding an umbrella over the camera during the entire shooting! It turns out that I couldn't have done much by myself :)

It was nice to be outside even for a while and get lost in the microcosm of my flowers. It is a very relaxing outlet, it clears my mind and it is completely free. Imagine that!

Thanks a lot @qurator and @ackhoo :)
Much obliged!

Wow so great, the close up of the flower and rain drops are wonderful.

Thank you, it was a quicky but I like them too :)

I normally am not fond of geraniums but I loved these photos!

Me neither, but the pictures turned out pretty nice indeed :)

You know, for a simple geranium in a simple pot, you've done a fantastic job of it. It's a fun photography exercise to take any one object and take at least a dozen photos of it; it really does force the photographer to take some different perspectives.

And the raindrops are way cool!

Thank you!
It has given me great joy to invent exercises like this and share the results. The sharing part and the feedback I get from all of you is what keeps me going:)

The quality of these are incredible! the combination of the rain droplets and the flowers on the pictures are so magical for some reason. Also I really like how you choose each of the perspectives of these shots. Nice one!

Thank you very much @chimerical, it is probably the magic of the macro :)

Wow I will put that in my wishlist a canon camera with that 100mm lens for macro photography😍🥰
You did a great photograph to that geranium flower @fotostef 👏🏼

Thanks!
I hope you'll get everything in your wishlist as soon as possible:)
