The worst photo session I've ever had.

Have you ever had a photo session with someone who looks very beautiful, but when you take the photos, you feel the results aren’t quite as great as expected, or in other words, you can't capture their beauty? Well, this happened to me recently.

Before I continue my previous post with Keny, this time I want to share a story about a photo session I had with a very beautiful woman, but I was really disappointed when I didn’t get good results for her. This woman's name is Putri. I don’t know her personally; she’s just one of my social media followers. I’ve often noticed her from her posts; she has a tall figure and a beautiful face. So, in my free time, I mustered the courage to invite her for a casual photo session.

The photo session took place at a café in my city, a spot that’s quite popular among other photographers, so I was already familiar with the best photo spots there.

Putri arrived with a few of her friends because she told me she felt shy about coming alone to meet someone she had just met, and I agreed. Unlike her, I usually feel confident about breaking the ice with people who are shy during photo sessions. But this time was different; I was completely at a loss during this session.

A week before the photo session, she told me that she had prepared an outfit that she specifically bought for this session. When she showed me the outfit she had bought, I thought she would look very beautiful wearing it for the session at the café. However, an hour before the session, she told me she decided not to wear that outfit because it was too small, so she ended up wearing the outfit you see in the photo. Honestly, the outfit she had prepared earlier would have looked better than the one she wore, but I wanted her to feel comfortable, so I didn’t want to pressure her into wearing something she didn’t like.

The outfit she wanted to wear.

The photo session was quite short because we started too late in the afternoon. Getting her into a good mood so she wouldn’t feel shy in front of the camera took up quite a bit of time, and on top of that, she found it difficult to pose. Even though her selfies for her feed looked great, when I was the one taking the photos, I felt the results weren’t as good as her selfies. I had already told her to pose as casually as she does when she takes selfies, but that didn’t change the outcome of my photos. Honestly, at this point, I felt disappointed in my ability to handle the model's mood.

Although not all the photos were disappointing, I was more disappointed in myself for not being able to capture Putri's beauty. I tried my best, but it still wasn’t enough. Putri herself didn’t mind; in fact, she’s still willing to do another photo session with me. However, because I feel the results were lacking, I’m afraid that if I invite her again, the outcome won’t match my expectations. I do hope she’ll wear the outfit she bought that time.

I hope I can find the courage to invite her for another photo session because, honestly, Putri looks very beautiful in person. Thank you to those of you who have stopped by here; I hope you like these photos, even though I personally am not entirely satisfied with them.
Warm regards from me.

Your portrait results are good, it's just that the background doesn't support it. Good job, keep up the good work friend.

Thank you, my friend. Yes, I think it's also because the location isn't quite right. However, I chose this location because initially, they were going to wear a different outfit.

Yes, it will be a valuable lesson, keep up the enthusiasm.
