A Rainy Day in Delhi

Photography clicked on roads and streets is called street photography. I am not an expert player in this field because my coordination is only with Himalayan landscapes. Actually, I am very interested in macro photos along with the camera.

Well, that day it was raining since late night and I had to go to Delhi to meet a friend the next day. When I woke up in the morning and saw everything wet outside, only “lol” could come out of my mouth. Got ready and went out and stood at the bus stand waiting for the bus. Till now I had no plan that I was going to click all these photos.

But as soon as I saw the reflection of a rickshaw puller in the water gathered in front of the bus stand, I could not stop myself. Immediately took out my cheap Android phone and pressed the shutter of the camera several times with the intention of clicking a better photo. It is a different matter that the photo had to be edited a lot while sitting on the laptop to make it look better.

Because it has just been morning, people are buying fruits from the fruit vendors on the streets, some women are taunting the government for rising inflation, while some men are upset because they are late for office because of the bus. From. Near the cobbler sitting near the bus stand, some people are getting their shoes polished and some are getting their slippers stitched.

An uncle is still selling masks on the footpath, amidst so much noise, he is so busy preparing his small shop that he has nothing to do with the world. There are only advertisements pasted on the roads. I like the metro station in Delhi the best because whether it rains or storms, you reach your destination on time by metro and that too without getting late.

I am passing in front of Rail Bhawan and there is a model of 'Vande Bharat' railway engine. The rickshaw pullers standing on the road are saying unknown things to the passengers. Buses full of passengers are going from here to there. A vintage car that came for a wedding is being loaded onto a pickup truck and taken back to the garage. Dark clouds are flying over the dome of a very big church near the Rashtrapati Bhavan as if they want to enter the church.

So, after meeting my friend, I roamed around Delhi without any intention and when the day was over, I came back home. Copied all the photos from the mobile to the laptop and edited them all in Lightroom. Some came out good and some came out not so good. I liked the day today and also that I was able to do something outdoors under the dark clouds. Well, that's all for today, I will tell you later. Till then take care and keep hiveing.

I love that vintage car. At first, I saw it and I'm not sure if it's vintage because I thought that some people might still drive those cars nowadays. But now that you explained it's for the wedding, it does make lots more sense.

Even though these might not your strong suit to take street pictures, I find you take them very nicely :)

First of all, I was very surprised and happy to see your comment because this is the first comment on any of my posts. In our country, vintage cars are used a lot during weddings.
If the camera is with you, the quality of the photos becomes better. Thanks for reading the post and commenting on it.

These are very cool. I love to see all the real life going on, you've got a good eye for it. I've been doing a lot of street photography lately too, it's harder than people think! I've never been to Delhi before but I would love to check it out one day.

I feel very good that street photographers are commenting on my posts. Thank you very much for checking the photos and understanding the feeling. If you ever feel like coming to Delhi, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful pictures dost 👍

Very nice series! Love the bike in the reflection! I always wondering if i could travel in India! It feels way to busy for me! But if i see street photography of India, I really want to go there!

India's culture, different languages and food, the vibrant life in its narrow streets and the Himalayas in the North will not disappoint you. Coming here once, you will feel like coming here again and again.
