Hello everybody!
How are you today?
Da Nang is a city with many beautiful scenes from majestic mountains such as Hai Van Pass, Son Tra peninsula, or Hoa Bac, to a stretch of beach with fine white sand along the coast like Nguyen Tat Thanh beach, My Khe beach, or famous places in the city such as temples, bridges crossing the romantic Han River, coffee shops with styles from classic to modern... All of these places give us a unique perspective of this city that is known as a livable city.
In today's article, I will introduce to you a very interesting place where you can take very poetic pictures, watch the train tracks crisscross, abandoned train carriages, or there is still activity running through this place, that is Kim Lien Train Station. Kim Lien Station is a train station located at 238/6 Nguyen Van Cu Street - Hoa Hiep Ward - Lien Chieu District - Da Nang City.
This station is a point of the North-South railway and connects Hai Van Nam station with Thanh Khe station (Da Nang). Kim Lien Station is located near the foot of Hai Van Pass, about 17km from the city center, and takes about 30 minutes by motorbike. From the city center, you can go along National Road 1A, or follow Nguyen Tat Thanh sea road, then turn onto National Highway 1A, cross Nam O bridge for another part, and then reach this place. If going from the city center, it is on your right-hand side. Since the station is on Google Maps, it shouldn't be too difficult to find.
I and a friend of mine came here on the first day of February, and I got to know him through a photography association in Da Nang. And he and I made an appointment to come here to take pictures at this station. And here are the photos on that trip with his Canon 700D camera. At that time, both he and I had just started learning to take pictures with our cameras, so maybe these photos are not very good, but it also helps me to keep memorable moments, save them keep a part of my beautiful youth. So I really like those pictures.
This Kim Lien station because of its lack of attention to facilities, and because it is located on the outskirts of the city, looks very old and abandoned, but it is actually still in operation. The grasses along both sides of the train tracks create a wild scene of this place. There are also derelict, abandoned train carriages here. There are few electric lights here at night, plus the view of these abandoned train cars, so it looks a bit scary. If you go here, then go during the day, while it is still bright, to be able to take the best pictures. Since we came here in the evening, the sunlight started to fade, so the photos were underexposed, they looked a bit sad.
Next to Kim Lien station, there is a road leading to the coast, leading to Kim Lien bay jetty, a place that is also little known, and it is very new for those who love unspoiled nature. This wharf is a long concrete road, leading directly to the sea. This place owns a very peaceful and wild natural setting, with a view of a long bay with casuarina trees growing along the coast, a straight road going out to the sea, you can ride a motorbike on it. this, or walk. The width of this road is about 7-8m, I don't know exactly what size it is but it is very safe to move on it. This is also a place where people often fish, which is very convenient for fishing rods because of its height. If you can come here in the early morning or evening, you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise or sunset in this location. From Kim Lien beach, you can also zoom out to see the city with tall buildings reaching up to the sky, or the Son Tra peninsula jutting out into the sea with the green of the forest covering the entire peninsula Island. Because the sun was gradually fading and it was starting to get dark, we had to leave this place, just in time to save a few pictures of this peaceful scene. We made an appointment for a beautiful sunny day to come back to this place and take more of the best pictures.
In addition, there is one suggestion for you, that is the cuisine of this Kim Lien, Nam O region, with seafood dishes that are processed extremely deliciously, but the price is very cheap. Around Nam O market and Nam O bridge, there are restaurants by the sea, the seafood here is caught during the day and processed from fresh seafood, so they are extremely delicious and attractive. There are many shops here for you to choose from. I am sure that after visiting these 2 places, Kim Lien Station and Kim Lien Wharf, choosing a restaurant to enjoy seafood is a good choice for the end of that trip.
