Val Roseg is certainly one of the loveliest valleys in the Swiss Alps, it’s located on the north side of the Bernina Range in the canton of Graubünden (Engadin), a wonderful area that nobody should miss!
The majestic trio: Piz Bernina Scerscen and Roseg, seen from the lower part of Val Roseg.
Woodland, mountain streams, meadows, towering peaks, and a convergence of glaciers make the valley a year-round attraction, but I have to admit: autumn here is amazing!
The valley is easily accessible, either on foot or by mountain bike, from the village of Pontresina.
For those who don't want to hike or cycle, there is also a very interesting horse-drawn carriage! Just sit back, relax, and let the horses pull you at a leisurely pace to far end of the idyllic Val Roseg.
This place is also famous for birdwatching, birds here are confident and, if you bring some food for them, they will feed from your hands!
It won't be difficult to see many other species!
Golden Eagle, the queen of the sky!
A shy weasel
Chamois
Silhouette of Squirrel
Full moon night in the valley, the starry sky in the mountains is always awesome!
A cold sunrise
In my opinion one of the best times to visit the area is late autumn. Snow and ice will merge with the orange colour of the larches, creating a unique atmosphere!
In the middle of winter there is a lot of snow and it'll look more like to be in north America
