MOON - THE QUEEN OF THE NIGHT 2

in #hive-1949132 years ago

Hello everyone in Photography Lovers community, how are you today?
I photograph the moon and it is challenging, far more difficult than photographing the sun, in my opinion. When I shoot sunrise or sunset, the colors are much more interesting, and we can compose so much background or foreground into the shot because of the day light. However, with the moon, it is usually dark or has weak light, and the only subject is the moon. But because the moon has so many different shapes, each photo taken every day for a month is distinct from others. So, if you can find a good foreground or background, your moon photo will be spectacular.

I am quite pleased with this photograph. I captured the first ones on February 15th, and the second ones on Moon festival, when the full moon was visible on the lunar calendar. To get this angle, I travelled 30 minutes to Son Tra Peninsula, to the Tho Quang fishing port. I use the Starwalk app to determine when and which direction the moon will rise above the horizon and then I simply wait. My recommendation is to arrive at least 20 minutes before the moon rises to compose your shot, this is important.

If you can't find any in the foreground, I believe the best you can do is a detail photo of the moon's surface. It does, however, necessitate the use of a telephoto lens. I have a 70-210 mm lens and a crop camera, but I still don't have enough reach for this type of photos. This photo is heavily crop photo, but is still very good huh?

But my favorite moon shape is when it looks like a hook. It's really amazing when you can see the opposite side of the moon that doesn't shine if you really try.
