My wife celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago, so her niece from Johannesburg decided to come down for two weeks to visit us here in Durban.
One morning she decided to treat us with a nice breakfast at the SPUR on the beach in Amanzimtoti to spoil my wife for her birthday.
So, the most obvious thing would be spending time on the beach after breakfast. To complement the most obvious thing, the most logical thing would be the involvement of a camera, capturing some special moments and scenes on the beach...lol.
Amanzimtoti is just south of Durban on the East Coast of South Africa. We love going to this area.
The SPUR in Amanzimtoti is located on the main beach. So, that was where we spent our time after breakfast.
We normally go just below the main beach toward the southern side, as it is...
1. Not so busy there (mainly fishermen).
2. It is beautiful with rocky scenes, providing many opportunities to capture nice images.
3. Exploring between the rocks provides a lot of fun and findings.
There was no shortage of beautiful moments, with the waves hitting against the rocks. Notice the beautiful colors in the water just behind the waves.
And within a few seconds...another one!
In between some of those bigger waves, I got some nice shots of the water finding its way between the rocks on its way to to beach.
A little further down, I found a spot where the waves "gently" washed out over the rocks and onto the beach.
I then found a spot where I saw a fisherman of a different kind...
In the next photo, you might have difficulty seeing him as he was finding his way through the foam on a small wave. He is in the center of the photo.
He then disappeared below the water, looking for a catch, while new waves came rolling toward him over the rocks behind him in the photo.
In the next photo he re-appears again on the surface of the water...lol. You can see his head just below the rock sticking out of the water.
I captured some great moments of the waves as they were breaking just behind the rocks.
But in my last photo for today, I like how the white at the top of the wave, reflects in the water below it...
That's it for today, folks.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
