While I was sitting outside today enjoying the sunshine and pleasant breezes, I took notice of the fence that surrounds the back yard. Now I see this fence every day, but on this particular day I took special notice of how many knots were scattered along the planks. So, I got my camera out and took pictures all along the fence. Hundreds of pictures. The photographs in this post are the shapes that stood out to me the most.
SHAPES AND SIZES
These first few photos show a wide variety of shapes and sizes and I was just drawn to the beauty of their design.
THE EYES HAVE IT
Many of the knots are paired and set close together, resembling a set of eyes staring back at you. I have taken the liberty of 'outlining' them to showcase that.
LET'S FACE IT, KNOTS ARE QUITE INSPIRING
In a couple of the knots I saw more than just a set of eyes. The way they set on the planks in relation to the other markings inspired a bit more.
