Traveling from Christchurch, after the nice and easy drive through Omarama on State Highway 8, a drive-through Lindis Pass valley awaits.
Lindis Pass isn't an easy drive, very windy, though it is not steep, but the windy bends calls for being very alret and cautious on the road, especially when towing trailer.
Lindis Pass was named after John Turnbull Thomson's hometown Lindifarne Island, northeast, England, in 1857.
I will say Lindis Pass is a photographer's dream. It is a scenic road every photographer will have to stop at the scenic Lookout for photos.
That explains why this might be the third time I have had to stop here for photos 📸
