Feeling refreshed after the early start to the Milford Sound cruise and a long 223km drive to Garston, where we spent the night, we embarked for an even longer 533km drive to Christchurch.
Our first stop was at Devils Staircase Lookout. The road got it Devils Staircase name due to the steep and difficult terrain of the road.
The road is quite windy like most road in NZ but I find it easier to navigate compared to Crown Range road which I have driven on once last year and found it very difficult to navigate, and Takaka Highway way. These two roads were the two most changed road I've driven on last year. And actually on Crown Range, road towing of trailer is not allowed as it is very dangerous.
Enough of my rambling about the NZ roads, enjoy the views from Devils Staircase Lookout
