Since my gradual return to Hive, I have spent most of my time in the black-and-white community sharing photos as entries for the daily monomad challenge. That's an interesting activity for me especially because I kind of like competitions. This has hindered me from sharing photos in other photography-related communities. Today, I said it was time to add some color to my timeline. And there's no other project befitting of my resumption to colored photos than photos from a project I worked on late last year.
In December, precisely 28th December 2023, I reached out to my friend Brea and asked if we could work on a spontaneous project as I was inspired to photograph anything aside from weddings. She obliged and I sent her a mood board. She accepted that it was something we could work on quickly and even the next day. And so we set out on the 29th of December and created some stunning photos.
The inspiration for the project was found when I came across another set of photos by Moss Onyi on Pinterest. She's one influencer that inspires me all the time; especially by her fashion style and photography. Her colors and composition are so beautiful. So Moss Onyi was the inspiration for this project, the same as it was for a project I did in 2021. That's why this is the part two.
In 2021, I worked on a project also inspired by Moss Onyi. It was one of the projects that took my photography brand from 10-100. That project was so good, that I had to create and sell the presets I used in my editing. After 3 years, I decided to do something again, and like before the results were solid.
It's too much talk at this point, here are the photos from the first look.
We worked on 3 looks for this project. The same thing we did in 2021. Out of the 3 looks we did, this was my personal favorite. For this set, we were still brimming with energy, ideas, and time. So we had the opportunity to explore and try out different things.
What I love about the photos aside from the colors are Brea's expressions. She killed the modeling perfectly. I couldn't have loved it any other way.
I hope as much as I do that you love these photos. If you do, let me know in the comment section what you feel about the photos and which one is your favorite.
