This was our first time anchoring in a frozen bay - before anchoring we needed to break some of the ice as we needed to drop the anchor a bit further in the middle as we would have been too close to shore.

We tried testing how far we can get with the boat - just to see how well we can get through...
We then realized its not worth it, and got the dingy out to break the ice, this would be perfect as our hull of our dingy was Aluminum.
Finally after breaking the ice for a bit we managed to reach where we wanted and dropped the anchor, then put out a stern line .
