A few days ago I had the opportunity to do a birthday photo shoot for a client. She saw my photographs on social media and wanted to do her birthday photos with me, and I am always happy to be a part of people's special occasions.
These studio-style photos were taken in "my studio," which is actually my friend's makeup store. She lends me a space in her store to set up my photo studio and take the photos there.
For the photos, the client brought balloons and a tiara that said "Happy Birthday."
She also wanted to have a photo taken without any of the decorative elements so that she could use it casually on a day other than her birthday.
On the technical side, for lighting I used two lights:
As the main light, I used a shoe-mount flash that I fired against a white wall to soften the light.
As a secondary light, I used an LED light panel at the back to separate the model from the background.
I used my Canon RP camera with a 50mm f/2.8 lens and we were very happy with the results. The girl was super excited about the photos we were taking.
The girl brought two changes of clothes, so at this point she proceeded to change clothes to take more photos.
And the truth is that this outfit was also spectacular, the photos turned out super interesting!
As I am still a bit of a studio photography novice, I am still amazed when I see such beautiful results that can be achieved in the studio. With good lighting, you can do incredible things!
