Este monumento está ubicado en la Asuncion, Capital del Estado Nueva Esparta, justo al frente de la Iglesia Nuestra señora de la Asunción, fue realizada con la imagen más conocida, de esta heroína, ella al lado de una mesa, con el cabello recogido con su usual peineta, siempre sofisticada y elegante, el vestido clásico es de color amarillo.
This monument is located in La Asuncion, Capital of the Nueva Esparta State, right in front of the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Church, it was made with the best-known image of this heroine, she next to a table, with her hair collected with her usual comb, always sophisticated and elegant, the classic dress is yellow.
Luisa cáceres de Arismendi, fue una luchadora incansable, por la Independencia de Venezuela, ella se casó muy joven con el Coronel Juan Bautista Arismendi, la cual también fue uno de los principales patriotas que lucho por la independencia.
Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi, was a tireless fighter for the Independence of Venezuela, she married Colonel Juan Bautista Arismendi at a very young age, who was also one of the main patriots who fought for independence.
La historia dice, que Luisa Cáceres, fue arrestada por los realistas, ellos pensaron que de esa forma, su esposo se rendiría, pero no fue así y ella tampoco se rindió, estuvo encarcelada en el castillo Santa Rosa, (ubicado muy cercano a este Monumento) en ese tiempo y lugar perdió a su niña que venía en camino.
The story says that Luisa Cáceres was arrested by the royalists, they thought that in this way, her husband would surrender, but it was not like that and she did not surrender either, she was imprisoned in the Santa Rosa castle, (located very close to this Monument) at that time and place she lost her girl who was on her way.
Murió el 2 de Junio del año de 1866 y desde el año de 1876 sus restos mortales, reposan en el Panteón Nacional, donde se encuentran los más grandes próceres de la independencia de Venezuela.
He died on June 2, 1866 and since 1876 his mortal remains rest in the National Pantheon, where the greatest heroes of the independence of Venezuela are located.
