I want to show you the photos I took for an academic project.

In May of this year, I took a photography course in Cuba, at the photography school in Havana, Efchabana. The course was on Appreciation and Composition, where I was taught the basics of photography, and the most essential; composition.

I discovered various types of composition, other photographers, the history of photography, it lasted a month but I can say that I know more than before, and that my photos and creativity increased. I am getting together to take other courses this year, because I felt very good. And what better place than hive to show my work, my passion and if possible contribute to the education I will receive in the future.

The first task was to find a way to imitate a photograph of Chema Madoz, a photographer I met in the course. It was a difficult job, I had to put my mind to work, the photo was of a spoon with the shadow of a fork. After 2 or 3 days of trying in various ways I managed to get a decent photo with "Sony Panther", my camera.

The spoon with fork dreams.

As a second task we were instructed to send in any photos we wanted. I sent 3 of flowers (because I love nature) that I thought were divine.**

Flowers from the Botanical Garden.

The third task was a portrait, I chose a portrait of Matias, a naughty boy who I did a little session at his mother's request because it would be his birthday.

Matias.

The fourth one was to create a photo with a meaning, and I sent 2 in this case, after working on them all night because I needed to create a scenario. My meaning was "Be different" in a world where everyone seems to be more of the same, even though they are not, the different stands out, either for good or bad.

We are different, is that good or bad?

The fifth task was a photo with a great meaning, something simple with a meaning in sight. For this one I had no more creativity left and I wandered through pinterest until I found something that caught my attention; a book with a plant in it, and that was it. Paper is made from trees, and books are made from them, they are in an infinite relationship.

Everything goes back to its roots.

And finally, the assignment we would graduate with. We could choose different ways to give it to communicate a photograph, which in fact are also used in language. I chose metaphor, and in all honesty I will say that I loved this photograph, I wanted to take it, even edit it, and I love to look at it.

Marry me, love.

What do you think of these pictures? Is there any one that you like particularly? Tell me which one it is, and if on the contrary you consider that any of them has something else, tell me too, you can't move forward without realizing what you are doing wrong. Thanks for reading to the end.

Note: all photos are my property. Picsart edited
