I was walking to the market this afternoon, and when I was halfway there, I saw potato farmers packing potatoes. I had never seen so many potatoes at once. I got off the road and approached them. They talked to me willingly. I asked them, "Where did you grow potatoes?" "How was the harvest?" They said it was a bumper harvest. They were all very happy. Currently the price of potatoes in our area is very high. If they store these potatoes for 6 months, they will get a better price. The price of potatoes can increase up to double in other seasons.
There is no potato storage cold warehouse in our village where potatoes can be frozen and stored. But there is a cold warehouse in our police station town. So they will take the potatoes to the town. They will store a part of the potatoes there and sell a part of the potatoes there. Anyway, the farmers have treated me very well and I am happy with that.
