The flowers of water hyacinth are extremely beautiful but it is wild. During floods, they float in the water in our area. When the flood water goes away, the water hyacinth remains. It is basically a water-growing plant but can also survive on land. When it gets stuck in the land, its roots grow and penetrate the soil. It absorbs the water in the soil extensively. As a result, the farmer's land starts to dry up quickly. When farmers sow crops, they remove them from the land. Water hyacinth is also famous as food for cows and goats. Its leaves and stems are all food for cows. Goats eat only its leaves. Therefore, it can be economically beneficial to use water hyacinth as food for cows and goats without wasting it.
