Without seeking an answer or explanation, everyone knows that flower is one of the things in this world that symbolizes beauty. It can be easily understood when it is given to someone that it conveys certain emotions. Whether Love, Appreciation or Sympathy, we already know what it means when we give or receive flowers from someone. Words are not necessarily needed by showing how someone feels because the flowers will be the one to state it all.
Be my Valentine, often seen in movies or advertisements. Well, I found it cool to say when there’s someone I really love to be mine. Actually, Valentine's Day is not just for someone who gives love to the opposite sex or same sex; It’s not just about showing affection to someone. Summary, it’s not just about romance but for friendship as well. It’s okay to give flowers to your families, siblings, friendships or maybe neighbors as well.
Why Flowers, you asked? Well, obviously it’s part of the cultural traditions that we grew up with. Maybe not just that too, like I said above how a flower symbolizes when it will be given. Here’s some facts about the type of flowers that each has meaning when it is given.
Red Roses - a classic symbol of deep affection.
Lilies - for Good Luck.
Dandelion - Faithfulness, happiness.
Daisy - Innocence, loyal love, I’ll never tell, purity.
These are just some meanings of the flowers I found through searching on the internet. Help yourself to choose which flower should be given to the ones you love. A friend or a lover, or maybe to a family. Why hesitate to give when our intention is not to hurt some but to love truly. Use the day of Valentine so it can be understood easily why we give flowers. Also, giving flowers shows deeper emotions and efforts.
