Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. Today, I had some free time during work. Since I work from home, I decided to spend some time with my dog, Kenya, and took some photos that I want to share with you. I also wanted to share Kenya's unique story with you.
Exactly five years ago on March 8th, which is International Women's Day, I was with some friends at a farmhouse outside the city of Medellin. The family that lived on the farm had a female dog who was impregnated by another dog. The owner of the farm was very upset and angry about it, and she told the farm manager that he had to find homes for the puppies that would be born, or she would tie them up with a rope and throw them into the river - her exact words. I overheard the conversation and immediately told the lady that I would take one of the puppies. Three months later, I went back to the farm and picked up Kenya.
Hola a todos espero se encuentren muy bien, en la tarde de hoy tuve un rato libre en el trabajo, yo trabajo desde casa y quise pasar un tiempo con mi perra Kenya, y aproveche para sacarle unas fotos que voy a compartir con ustedes, al mismo tiempo que les comparto la historia de Kenya que es bien particular.
Hace 5 años exactamente el 8 de marzo día de la mujer estaba yo con unos amigos compartiendo en una finca a las afueras de la ciudad de Medellín, la familia que cuidaba la finca vivía allí mismo y en un descuido un perro embarazó la perrita que vive allí. La dueña del lugar muy indignada y con mucha rabia le dijo al mayordomo que o le conseguía un hogar a los perritos que nacieran o ella misma cogía una soga los amarraba y los tiraba al río palabras textuales de la señora. Yo escuché toda la discusión y de inmediato le dije a señora que yo me quedaba con uno de los cachorros que naciera, y así fue, tres meses después estaba yendo de nuevo a este lugar a recoger a Kenya.

I live with my mother and grandmother, and they didn't allow me to have pets in the house for several reasons that aren't relevant to the story. When I brought Kenya home, I used a strategy to be able to keep her. I told them that she was only staying for a few days and that I had no intention of keeping her. But, in reality, I already knew her name and that I was going to keep her for life. As days passed, my family realized that I had no intention of finding another home for the dog. One day, my mother told me that I could keep her, and I introduced them to each other. jajaja It was a funny moment.
Yo vivo con mi madre y mi abuela y ellas no me dejaban tener animales en la casa por varios motivos que no son relevantes en la historia, cuando llegué con Kenya a la casa usé una estrategia para poderme quedar con ella que consistió en decir que ella estaba en la casa solo por unos días que no tenía la menor intención de quedarme con ella, pero mentiras que yo ya sabía como se iba a llamar y que me iba a quedar con ella de por vida. Pasaron los días y mi familia veía que yo no tenía ni la más mínima intención de buscarle otra casa a la perrita, hasta que un día mi madre me dijo que me podía quedar con ella y de inmediato se las presente jajaja fue muy chistoso ese momento.

It's been five years since Kenya came into our home, and the change that she brought about in my mother and grandmother from the first day until today is incredible. Now, my mother sleeps with her every night, and my grandmother makes her bandanas and cushions to sleep on the bed. But something very important is that she has brought our family closer together. Before, we hardly spoke to each other at home, and now Kenya is a topic of conversation and a source of unity for the family, and I'm very happy about that. I hope we can share many more years with her.
To conclude, I want to leave a message: let's take care of animals, learn from them, and value what they have to offer. Animals live in a qualitative time, always living from love, something that humans should learn, because we tend to think more from an instinctive perspective, even if it sounds a bit contradictory.

Han pasado ya 5 años desde que Kenya llegó a nuestra casa y la verdad el cambió que tuvo mi mamá y mi abuela desde el primer día hasta hoy es increíble, ahora mi mamá duerme con ella todas las noches, mi abuela le hace pañoletas y cojines para que se acueste en la cama, pero algo es muy importante y es que nos ha unido más como familia, antes era muy poco lo que hablamos entre nosotros en casa y ahora kenya es un motivo de conversación y de unión para la familia y estoy muy contento por eso la verdad, espero que sean muchos años más los cuales podamos compartir con ella.
Para terminar quiero dejar un mensaje y es cuidemos los animales, aprendamos de ellos, tienen algo que es demasiado valioso y es que los animales viven en tiempo cualitativo siempre están viviendo desde el amor, algo que el ser humano debería de aprender, porque nosotros pensamos más desde lo instintivo así suene un poco contradictorio.
