I hope everyone is okay.
Today, I bring a selection of double and multiple exposures, a technique that consists of exposing the same file more than once. It is necessary to calculate the amount of light added to each exposure, it is necessary to calculate where each exposure will be located in the frame, thinking about what composition I can achieve. But even after calculating everything, the result is always unexpected. Playing with multiple exposures is an invitation to accept that we don't have total control of the outcome and to be surprised by the possibilities we couldn't even imagine.
These photographs were taken at a recent event, a very special jazz night in the center of Florianópolis. It was a pleasant evening and a joy to be back photographing events (I hadn't photographed an event for over a year). In this particular case, the light was scarce and what little light there was behind the musicians, one of the ways I found to obtain brighter images was precisely by exposing the same file more than once and taking the opportunity to create unique images that transmit the energy that it was that night.
Soon, in a new post, I will bring more photographs of this beautiful night with lots of music. Photographs of the band and the public having fun.

Hoje trago uma seleção de duplas e multiplas exposições, uma técnica que consiste em expor o mesmo arquivo mais de uma vez. É necessário calcular a quantidade de luz somada a cada exposição, é necessário calcular onde cada exposição vai se situar no quadro pensando em que composição posso chegar a ter. Mas mesmo calculando tudo, o resultado sempre é inesperado. Brincar com multiplas exposições é um convite a aceitar que não temos controle total do resultado e se surpreender com as possibilidades que nem imaginavamos.
Estas fotografias foram feitas em um evento recente, uma noite de jazz bem especial no centro de Florianópolis. Foi uma noite agradável e uma alegria estar de volta fotografando eventos (fazia mais de um ano que não fotografava evento algum). Neste em especial a luz era escassa e a pouca luz que havia estava atrás dos músicos, uma das formas que encontrei de obter imagens mais iluminadas foi justamente expondo o mesmo arquivo mais de uma vez e aproveitando pra criar imagens unicas e que transmitem a energia que foi essa noite.
Em breve, em um novo post, devo trazer mais fotografias desta noite linda e de muita música. Fotografias da banda e do publico se divertindo.
