Hello Hive family!
In my last post I covered a half (because of too many events/shots that day) of the second day of my three day long hike through the mountains between Polish and Czech borderline. This post is about to wrap up the entire trek. How did it go? Let's check it out😉
It is 3 pm, on my way back from the Polish Black mountain (Czarna Góra; 1205 m.a.s.l.). In the middle, you can see a lookout tower on the mountain Králický Sněžník (1423 m.a.s.l.).
Passing by chalet Na Śnieżniku (at some 1300 m.a.s.l.) which you can find just under the core peak of Králický Sněžník. They have some beer. Sadly, everything in bottles. This is Opat brewed by Czech brewery in Broumov. Nothing special. As for the soup, well, Polish mountain version of popular soup żurek with an egg (they serve it inside the chalet, so it is kind of an adventure to carry it out of the chalet without ... 😁).
Anyhow, my second course is Polish-made beer Snieznik (as the Polish chalet name denotes to Snieznik). To be honest, nothing special again, it is just an attraction for tourists.
And this is basically the last shot of this day as I was too busy to find some quite, flat grassy clearing with no strong wind where I could spend the night😉
But yeah, I somehow made through to the next day. This was taken at 6 am from the place I spent the night. Here it looks just fabulous (Praděd, the highest mountain of the Jeseníky mountain, in the middle). The reality was different though (luckily I did not photograph it😂).
Fresh water.
You can find this stopover in the little village Kamienica (Poland).
Need a spare pair of hiking boots?
Lovely violet plant - geranium.
In Poland, anthills are surrounded by a fence. Just in case an ant wants to escape (just kidding for sure).
Autumn is lovely.
Love this tiny flower, myosotis/forget-me-not.
Bit of adventure in always wet bogs.
Take a guess!
... even poo can look like lovely, can't it?
Caterpillar hanging in blueberry bush. I am not an expert, but I would say it belongs to genus of Lasiocampa?
View from the Polish mountain (1106 m.a.s.l.), Králický Sněžník on the oposite site. I was kind of sad in here as the nature is very nice around, but those crowds of people eager to just barbecue something on the top of the mountain... That really disappointed me.
Do you know the Schengen Area? Well, this signpost presents its smaller version, the Little Schengen (Malý Šengen) 😁
No matter if it is nearly November. Those little guys have no break!
Peak of the mountain Brousek (1115 m.a.s.l.).
You can see lovely views from that mountain (montains from the left, not all: Šerák, Keprník and Vozka).
Just entering the European significant locality, full of peatbogs, around the mountain Smrk (1127 m.a.s.l.). A wet hell for any Goretex shoes...
An old boundary marker stone. You cannot miss it.
And its buddy.
At last! Reached the destination, a resort Ramzová (Czechia). Now it is time for short chill. Just note the blister on the second toe. Funny as they claim those shoes are not supposed to generate any blister at all. Perhaps a good candidate for warranty claim? 🤣
Here is itinerary of the most of the day, the third day.
This was 29-30th October, 2022. Thank you for reading this post. If you like it, stay tuned as more trekking adventures will definitely come. In the meantime, don't forget to check out my Pinmapple profile to see all places I have visited on the map! See you on the trail😉
