Divine art in nature combined with the Cosmos.
Some seriously great sunset shots for you to enjoy.
Yep, it was a wet day as another cold front started to make its presence felt. At times like this it feels never ending, even though we know that the cold fronts will stop when our winter rainy season ends. There have been some terrible damages by the previous series of cold fronts, as the cold fronts always bring heavy storms and high-speed winds with them. The days are passable, but at night it gets very cold, and often times, although we live in a brick house, the people that live in the tin shacks are facing terrible conditions. The tin shacks are not waterproof, and they battle to keep their blankets and beds dry.
But I digress, so come and watch the lovely sunset.
As you can see the wet glimmer on the road. The rain stopped a while ago and we were out like a flash.
Enjoying the promise of the sun with the birds, all looking forward to it with the coming week.
The sun preparing to push through the last of its rays.
And there we have it, the sun won, even with all the cloud around, it could still push through and remind us that the darkness does not win in the end.
This photo below was where I was standing at our car to take the sunset shots.
Oh, I forgot to include this rainbow that I took on our way out to get the sunset. It was the view towards the south-east, and I took the sunset shots in the opposite direction.
Then it was time for us to head back home on that same wet road, and the pictures below were taken near our place.
It reminds us that the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. We find real life in the light.
The light came into the world, and nothing can live without the light.
The real mysteries of everything are hidden from humans, and just as well as we would mess them up too, as we so easily do to everything we see and handle in this life. Why are communities not standing together to make sure that every person, every animal and creature, and the environment is cared for? Why are we not ensuring, in a joint effort in each community, that nobody goes to bed hungry, cold, or scared? We have moved away from truly caring about everything around us and instead moved to a total concern for the self. We, as humans, rarely step out and make the changes we want to see. Some are scared to, some procrastinate about it, and others just don't care. If we fully understood how the light can set us all free - we would be free from what holds us all - the darkness in and around us.
May we wake up each day with our eyes raised to the light that removes this darkness, and may we look outward to look after others, so that they can live without hunger, cold, and fear.
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
