The winds can certainly conjure up magical views these days.
I will show you how the day started and also how it all ended.
A strong North-Eastern wind was up, and it had enough force to drive the big clouds around. Winter just doesn't want to leave the Western Cape, and another cold front has arrived. It has produced a lot of cloud and strong winds over the week leading up to this weekend. Except for the Western Cape and a couple of other provinces and areas, most of South Africa has had a warm, and even very hot, winter, and they always blame the Cape when the "bad" weather arrives in their areas. We also found the weather strange when we moved here, but now it seems that we have acclimatized.
We were on our way to an appointment.
Thats what things looked like later.
And then we went closer to the mountain to get a better view of things.
Things started to darken at about 3pm.
And then the lights switched off in the sky and the crows love to float around in weather like this.
And finally sunset arrived and the day was done.
The rest of the week, including Sunday, looks bleak with low temperatures. But thankfully, the weatherman reckons that it will only rain again over the weekend next week. So, things will stay dry and cold until the week after next week. We have also experienced this lingering of winter last year, over the last two years and it seems to be that the winter season is getting longer. I read somewhere that all the seasons are changing, and it was said that it will also arrive earlier. We have seen this with the early blooms on the citrus trees when it is not their time to bloom yet. So, not only is the world going crazy with all the daily negative news in the media, but the weather is also changing.
Such is life.
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
