Beauty before a storm.

I love to take photos just before one of our famous storms arrive.

The photo above was taken towards the South and the sun peeped through the clouds from the North to light a square of farm land.

Late afternoon we had another power cut and we decided to go to the mountains.
For the past two weeks we had four power cuts per day each one lasting for two and a half hours and it is not a very pleasant experience. But we are an enduring nation and facing difficulties has become a habit.
The place where we live is called The Cape of Storms and it is a verifiable fact that some severe Atlantic storms strike us with all of their tremendous power.
I respect the storms and I also love them.

A view here below towards the west, but the view will soon change.

Gathering clouds and sweeping them towards the south as you can see here.

They reckon that our windspeed was 40kph and it buffeted me as I stood with my camera in the open. The sun continued to battle with the clouds.

Now here was the start of the view changes towards the west as the first sickle storm cloud rolled in.

Does that look like a heart shaped cloud?

Finally, this was where the clouds arrived from in the north. The winds bombed the clouds against the mountain and splattered the clouds majestically across the sky.

Advancing storm fronts can offer wonderful photo opportunities and this is not one of the bad storms due to the low wind speed. 40kph is a medium windspeed and when the wind speed rises to above 60kph, then one has to be quick else one gets very wet. The clouds of today had a fairly slow drift and it took a while for me to watch and to get the shots, but it was worth it I think.
I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

I always try to blow some pregnant clouds your way my friend. Maybe I must ask for the Cape doctor to stop blowing from the south-east for a while and to change direction to blow from the north to the south :)

May you guys also have a good week and !LUV to all.

Sunny bright day here once again, been quite warm during the day as well, rain would be very welcome 😅

Have a great new week !LUV to the Cape Doctor.

We were talking about this last night Lady Joan. The winters are much warmer, as not once yet were we even close to 0C. A big worry for the apple farmers as the trees cannot get into their deep sleep.

Thank you and the same to you guys for the week.
