I wish that you can see how the clouds slowly envelop the mountains.
A slow and gentle action that looks like cloudy waterfalls.
As you can see, the wind was high, but down below it was only a cool breeze. The in-laws up north in the country were happy to tell us during a phone call, that their 3 weeks of torture in the heat, has now subsided into lower temperatures, with much rain. Now the heat is our turn here down south, as we are rapidly climbing into the 30s Celius. Maybe we will go into the 40s, and that would create a catastrophe, as the water in the dams will evaporate and threaten not only drought, but also a lack of drinking water.
And a view towards the left of the palm tree in the first photo.
And here is something else. The clouds were in the process of closing the mountains. The tall skinny trees on that hill looked like an army watching the advance of an enemy.
Keep a watch on the pictures, as the clouds continue to change.
Oh yeah, the clouds did eventually close the entire mountain range into a big white cloudy worm on the landscape, but sadly we had to be somewhere else at a meeting, and this was all that I could get on camera.
Rainy drizzle and the low 20s up north, and it really feels like they have stolen our weather. But on occasion, when massive storms and floods hit them, then they blame us down south for sending our storms to them. Having also lived up north for many years, we have also joined in the accusations, but now that we live down here, we can fully comprehend the weather issues between the north and the south.
Experience matters, as they say, and although the weather forecasters have the latest instruments, they can still get it wrong. Do you know that feeling when they say that the rain will start at 3pm on a day, and your planned outing starts at 9am in the rain on the same day? Or when they say that the temperature will be 24C, and then it turns out that the temperature turns out to be 27C?
Just the way of life, and they cannot be blamed, as the weather has its own mind. :)
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
