Before I could only get them at a distance far away, but today I got lucky.
This Heron got such a fright when he saw the battle that he pooped in flight as he scattered :)
As usual it happens in seconds. A bird of prey, in this case a Jackal Buzzard entered a Pied Crow's territory and the crow was upon him in a flash. I posted another fight like this a while ago, but the birds were at a greater height and not as clear as today. The fights never last long, as the crow's task is to get the intruder out of his territory as quickly as possible so that the intruder cannot scout for the location of the crow's nest.
Come and see.
The screaming crow was right next to the buzzard here below.
It looked like the buzzard was yelling at the crow to go and cry by his mother:)
So the buzzard decided to leave and he flew towards the mountains.
Luckily I still managed to get the heron also flying near the mountains, but he wasn't near the buzzard.
I often post the birds in the #featheredfriends community, but I wanted more exposure for this post, as it is the clearest yet that I got the battle on camera. I will however not give up on my hope to get them much closer, maybe at tree top height, as then it will be bigger images,
But for now, this at about 500 meters did not come out too bad.
So let me have your thoughts about the battle in the comments below.
I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
And That's All Friends.
