I stopped at the side of our town's Main Road to show you some ocean landscapes. But something great happened.
That is our beach on the skyline, about 5 kilometers away, and it was already raining softly at our side in town.
But the rain was not enough to prevent me from jumping out of the car in order to share the photos below with you. Something unexpected took place and as life would have it, I was in the right place at the right time.
It is a first time for me to see something like this on a rainy morning and I hope that you will enjoy the sights.
Come and see.
I saw the birds rising in the distance and I jumped out of the car and onto my camera's zoom.
The flying birds almost forming a heart shape in this photo below.
Nope, I don't know what type of birds they were, as I took some close ups, but had to delete them due to the weather blurring them.
It might be speckled pigeons, or racing pigeons, or for that matter, maybe doves, or starlings.
Too big to be starlings and I think that the birds are some kind of pigeons.
No, I didn't count them, so all that I can tell you is that there were many of them.
Finally they faded from sight as the dark clouds continued to come in from the north.
And I was so happy to get those shots, as the rain started to come down harder on our way home.
Last night we had some very heavy downpours and it was so nice to hear the rain drumming on our roof when we went to bed. It is a hypnotic sound that lulls one asleep in a nice soft and warm bed. Our temperatures are now dropping sharply, and the winter cold is gradually starting to creep in.
But I love it and I also love to see how the little animals are rushing to get their winter food stocks amassed.
Look at this little wet lady taking an acorn in our garden to go and bury it in the rain.
My wife fills a bag with acorns and nuts that she picks up under the trees during our wanderings and she puts some nuts out for our 4 squirrels twice a day. They are very happy.
I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
And That's All Friends.
