...and so, we took it back to a nursery where we bought it.
How many times can what looks like a small thing turn out to be a real headache?
At times so many things go haywire in a day, but I regard them as lessons teaching us how to overcome. For instance, the plan was that I would spray the weeds that are growing in our paved driveway, but no such thing as the weed sprayer didn't work. And so, all of a sudden and unplanned, we had to take it back to the nursery where we bought the sprayer recently. Said nursery was about 10 kilometers away, and it was an unplanned nuisance, but we persevered.
While waiting for the sprayer to be fixed, my camera asked me to walk around in the nursery, so I obeyed :)
All of the photos in here were taken by my camera, and I kissed the camera when we arrived back home with the repaired sprayer. At home I decided to test the sprayer, and another, this time painful, surprise was awaiting me.
We filled the sprayer with an organic ant deterrent and happily I started to do the spray job. No mask, no gloves as usual, but this time two strong gusts of wind, one after the other, blew the spray liquid into my face and eyes.
With burning eyes, the wife led me to our shower, and I had to stand facing the shower head with open eyes in order for a steam of room temperature water to rinse my eyes for 15 minutes. Now I don't know about you, but my eyes are very sensitive, and they didn't like to stare open into a slow steady stream of water. After the rinse, my eyes were not happy, and I even started to develop a headache. So that was it for the rest of the day, but I can tell you that by the next morning, my eyes were okay, and thankfully no damages were done.
Come and let me show you what my camera did at the nursery.
Nope, nada, in the picture below you can see that I pressed the sprayers button, and nothing came out. So, we had to take it back.
So, I took my camera for a walk, and you will see the results in here.
We are fortunate to have some great artists here, and many of the sculptures look almost alive. When one drives around in town, and at the seafront, one can see many sculptures on show. Most of the nurseries, and the farms, also have great sculptures on display. Some of you might remember our visits to some art studios and workshops for instance, the "glass" female figures that one of the artists here made that I posted about two or so years ago.
Some big car flowerpots were also on show, and I bet you can see that this below is a VW Beetle.
Then there was also this classic truck.
Some ground squirrels were also hanging around.
And finally, here is another look at them from the side.
What a day, and I can tell you that I have seen many of these kinds of days in my many moons on this earth. But lately, they come knocking at my door more often. This happens when one gets older and let me tell you that very few of us were prepared for old age, and it is really very tricky. They say that old people are wise, but I am still waiting for my wise parcel to arrive. Thankfully, I have now been inoculated against the people that laugh at my mistakes, as I simply laugh with them.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
