Some of you may already know by now, even though I lived in London for so many years, I am originally from Valencia, Spain.
I you live in Valencia, you notice very quickly a significant urban constraint that has been in the city since many many years ago and that divides the South of the city in two.
The railways that come from the train stations act as a barrier making really difficult the access from one to the other.
There are only 3 ways other than going around the stations. Two on foot that consist on a pedestrian bridge (see the photo), and a tunnel. And the third one which is driving on the road bridge, like you can see in the photo aswell.
There has been a project to make the railtracks underground and create this massive green area that connects the two now divided parts of the city. But it is never moving forward as a result of bad politics.
Hopefully one day I get to see it! And I get to enjoy it too.
Are any of you from Valencia? Or have you visited or planning to?
What do you think about this?
