Photography After A Long Time

in #hive-1949133 months ago

Hello everyone

After a long time, I came here with some of my pictures. Since I work in an office, I haven't had much time. last time posted on Hive two months ago, but I haven't had the chance to post since then. Taking pictures requires a lot of time and patience, which hasn't been easy for me lately. Everything has to be well-managed, and I wasn’t able to take the pictures properly due to personal reasons.

However, I’ve been free for a while now. During this time, I decided to take some pictures, although they were all taken in my garden at home. Initially, I planned to take a lot of photos and upload them all at once, but I realized that taking so many photos together wasn’t feasible for me. So, I want to start with just some images of little insect.

It was quite difficult to get started, but it was a worthwhile effort. The photo was taken in my garden where I unexpectedly spotted a small green insect that looked very cute. I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures of it.

Weevils

I tried to take some pictures when I spotted the insect, but its green color didn’t match well with the background. To solve this, I placed a red-colored paper behind it to enhance the picture. With this setup, my photos turned out well, and the insect was captured clearly, with all its parts visible.

These insects are easy to spot, especially on small varieties of trees. Although they look quite beautiful, a closer look reveals even more intricate details. They have small body parts in different colors that are usually invisible to the naked eye. However, when photographed, these details become apparent and showcase their true beauty. I don’t know much about this insect, but I took some pictures and wanted to share them with you.

Indian pied myna

This bird is very rare in our country. It can be seen in various parts of the country, especially from rural to urban areas. Often, we observe these birds fighting with each other, particularly over nesting sites and food. They also quarrel when selecting a mate. At these times, they can be seen perched in trees, engaged in disputes and fights.

Since this bird is considered a wild animal, it is completely prohibited to capture and keep it in captivity in Bangladesh. When I have free time, I like to go outside and find a secluded spot to watch these birds as they perch and move around. It’s a pleasure to observe them. I am also very passionate about photographing and watching birds. If I have posted about this before, it’s because I truly enjoy writing about them.

Dragon fly

The dragonfly is one of the most fascinating insects, admired for its beauty but known for being a formidable predator. I have posted about dragonflies before. Their lifestyle is quite unique: they begin life in water and learn to fly as they mature. Dragonflies are both beautiful and deadly. Their powerful jaws allow them to feed on small insects, especially mosquitoes, rather than honey as one might assume.

Dragonflies are incredibly fast, making it challenging to capture their photos. Whenever I try to get close and take a picture, they often fly away. However, one notable characteristic of dragonflies is that they tend to stay in the same spot, particularly on broken branches or similar structures. They have large, multifaceted eyes that give them nearly 360-degree vision. Catching a dragonfly by hand is difficult due to their speed.

I’m not very experienced with photography; I’m still a beginner. I’m always trying my best to improve my photos, so I’ve been learning photography through YouTube. It’s quite challenging for me, especially since I don’t have much time. I’m usually free on Fridays, so I use that day to take photos of wildlife and other subjects. I hope you enjoy these photos.
