On a trip to the north, I realized that I already had enough winter for this year. So the memories took me to the side of the desert, so hot during the day, cold at night, and at any time a little unearthly. I remembered the Chilean Atacama Desert.
Today's photos show sunrise in Valley of the Moon, one of the most unusual and impressive places I've been to. Despite the fact that in October it is not the hottest time there, during the day we melted in T-shirts under the rays of the sun among the sands and stones. Well, at night we wrapped themselves in fleece sweaters and jackets — just during the departure in the predawn hours, the cold is especially felt: at night in the desert it is only a few degrees above zero Celsius.
But how can this stop me from admiring the beauty? From going out to catch the first rays of the sun walking across the bizarre terrain in Valley of the Moon? Of course not :)
We went to a lookout over the valley a little far from the town of San Pedro de Atacama (Mirador de Kari - Piedra del Coyote) and were almost alone there. Beautiful moments!
The rich orange light of the newly risen sun enlivens the landscape, which before that was somewhat pale, as if it really was lunar.
Well, when the sun rose higher, everything became less magical, but more real. Valley of the Moon is a wonderful place. I'm glad I saw him.
It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
