Hello everybody, How are you?
Ready for another part of my trip to Bahia? What I want to share with you is about a really cool lunch I had, in a bar where they mainly serve fried fish, shrimp and crabs and which is in the municipality of Uruçuca.
I had already eaten shrimp once or twice here in Goiânia, but crab was the first time! As Bahia's diet is a little different, focused on seafood, it was a very interesting experience to finally eat crabs and understand what they taste like.
Without further ado, let's go!
First of all, the entrance to Bar da Maria, a simple place, but with delicious dishes!
One really cool thing is that here you choose your crab to eat. You can literally catch them with the same net shown in this photo and in this case this is a crab with a more reddish color, there was another one that was more bluish in color! Anyway, it’s all new to me!
In addition to this space where the crabs are, there were three other smaller spaces, let's say this one is in the shape of a rectangle, the other spaces were closer to a square, where it was also full of crabs!

Of course, I couldn't miss poses for the photo catching the crabs, as I always say, my wife loves doing this to generate content for herself and I can't deny that it also helps me have content to post haha. 😄

I believe it was the first time that my children had seen crabs up close and even more to eat. In addition to the trip itself, which is marked in their memories, these moments of relaxation and news are certainly recorded in their minds! I'm happy to be creating memories with them like this!

Before showing our table and our friends, a little of the place where we were, very different from the streets of Goiânia, where there is no shortage of cement, bricks and asphalt, here the architecture is very different from the routine I have and to think that paved streets It's something rare around here, so the predominance is always a street with dirt or clay.

The coolest thing about everything here is that practically the place to eat and drink is as if it were the bar's backyard, we can see that there are some tables and benches to sit on in the brick and mortar and with all this greenery right there close to us.
There is a river running next to this backyard, showing how beautiful nature is and needless to say, the place was super pleasant, well ventilated and with a mild climate, very different from closed and cramped bars.

In the images below we have a dynamic view of the place, very airy, very green, it was a very interesting and pleasant experience. In the second photo I show the river that runs right next to it as I mentioned, which makes everything even more beautiful and incredible!

There was a cocoa tree too, I had never seen one like this up close and I even tried it, but I didn't like it, honestly I found it bitter. Nobody there knew if there was a right or wrong way to consume it haha. 😅

Wonderful fish options, I love fried fish and this was different from what I usually make here at home, we usually fry Tilapia, in very small pieces, but the fish we ate there (this first dish on the left) I don't remember the name, but it was a Delicious and different from the small pieces I usually eat, here the whole fish was fried and served just like that.
There was also shrimp as I already mentioned and our friend red crab, with a very tasty and sweet taste, which surprised me because I imagined it would taste similar to fish, but it wasn't, what I felt was a light taste and it really seemed like it had sugar in it, because of the sweet taste it felt in the mouth.

A closer look at our clawed friend. The way of eating was very interesting too, you take the parts of his body, like the paws and you have to hit them to break them and eat the meat that remains there in the pastes.
Remember I talked about the bluest crab at the beginning of the post? So, this red had a sweet taste and the blue had an even sweeter taste, but I loved it, I really enjoyed this experience!
And so was our lunch at Maria's Bar! Sensational and delicious, I loved this experience!

Prontos para mais uma parte da minha viagem para a Bahia? O que quero compartilhar com vocês é sobre um almoço bem legal que tive, em um bar onde é servido principalmente peixes fritos, camarão e caranguejos e que fica na região do município de Uruçuca.
Camarão já havia comido uma vez ou outra aqui em Goiânia, mas caranguejo foi a primeira vez! Como a alimentação da Bahia é um pouco diferenciada, voltada para alimentos do mar, foi uma experiência bem interessante finalmente comer caranguejos e entender como era o seu sabor.
Sem mais delongas, vamos lá!
Primeiro de tudo, a entrada do Bar da Maria, Lugar simples, mas que têm pratos deliciosos!
Um coisa bem legal é que aqui você escolhe o seu caranguejo para comer. É possível pega-los literalmente com a rede igual mostrado nessa foto e que no caso esse é um caranguejo de cor mais avermelhada, havia um outro que era de cor mais azulada! Enfim, tudo novidade para mim!
Havia além deste espaço onde ficam os caranguejos, outros três espaços menores, digamos que este está em forma de um retângulo, os outros espaços eram mais próximos de um quadrado, onde também estava cheio de caranguejos!

Claro que não podia faltar poses para a foto pegando os caranguejos, como sempre digo, minha esposa adora fazer isso para gerar conteúdo para ela e não nego que me ajuda também a ter conteúdo para postar haha. 😄

Acredito que foi a primeira vez que meus filhos também viram caranguejos assim tão de perto e ainda mais para comer. Além da viagem em si que fica marcada na memoria deles, estes momentos de descontração e novidades com certeza ficam registrados em suas mentes! Fico feliz de estra criando memorias com eles assim!

Antes de mostrar a nossa mesa e nossos amigos, um pouco do local onde estávamos, bem diferente das ruas de Goiânia, onde o que não falta é cimento, tijolos e asfalto, aqui a arquitetura bem diferente do rotineiro que tenho e pensar que ruas asfaltadas é algo raro por aqui, sendo assim, o predomina é sempre uma rua com terra ou barro.

O mais legal de tudo aqui, é que praticamente o local de comer e beber é como se fosse o quintal do bar, podemos ver que tem algumas meses e bancos para sentar no tijolo e cimento mesmo e com todo esse verde bem ali perto da gente.
Ao lado deste quintal um rio passando, mostrando como a natureza é bonita e nem preciso dizer que o local era super agradável, bem ventilado e clima ameno, bem diferente de bares fechados e apertados.

Nas imagens abaixo temos uma dinâmica do local, bem arejado, bem verde, foi uma experiência bem interessante e agradável. Na segunda foto mostro o rio que passa bem ali do lado como mencionei, o que torna tudo mais bonito e incrível ainda!

Havia um pé de cacau também, nunca havia visto um assim de tão de perto e cheguei a experimentar o mesmo, mas não gostei, sinceramente achei amargo. Ninguém ali sabia se tinha um jeito certo ou errado de consumir o mesmo haha. 😅

Opções de peixes maravilhosas, amo peixe frito e esse era diferente do que costumo fazer aqui em casa, normalmente fritamos Tilápia, em pedaços bem pequenos, mas o peixe que comemos lá (esse primeiro prato a esquerda) não lembro o nome, mas estava uma delicia e diferente dos pequenos pedaços que costumo comer, aqui o peixe inteiro foi frito e servido assim mesmo.
Teve camarão também como já mencionei e o nosso amigo caranguejo vermelho, com um gosto bem gostoso e adocicado, o que me surpreendeu porque imaginava que seria o gosto parecido com peixe, mas não era, o que senti era um gosto leve e realmente parecia que tinha açúcar no mesmo, por conta do sabor doce que sentia na boca.

Um close maior no nosso amigo de garras. A forma de comer era bem interessante também, você pega as partes do corpo dele, como as patas e têm que bater nelas para quebrarem e assim comer a carne que fica ali nas pastas.
Lembram que falei do caranguejo mais azulado no começo do post? Então, esse vermelho tinha o gosto adocicado e o azul era um gosto mais doce ainda, mas eu amei, gostei demais dessa experiência!
E assim foi o nosso almoço no bar da maria! Sensacional e gostoso, amei essa experiência!
