Desert Sunrise

in #hive-19491319 days ago

Another high desert sunrise from southern Arizona.

Still working through photos from my recent trip down south.

Maybe because we got some snow here yesterday.

Maybe because living in the woods you seldom get a good sunrise. The horizon is obstructed by the trees.

Maybe because I just love these shots 🙂

Sort:

Just because the colours in the morning sky are so stunning.

Some flakes here but snow doesn't stay on the ground...

Have a great weekend

Thanks. It was stunning sunrise.

Amazing Photos.

Thanks. Its a cool part of the country to visit.

I think I recognize the Rincon Mountain ridges in the last photo. Did you make it to Tombstone? Or was that too touristy for you?

These photos were taken from Las Cienegas NCA basically straight west of Tombstone. Not sure what mountains were between us and Tombstone but these are them haha I'm not opposed to some touristy places. I've been to Old Tucson years ago.

Ah yeah those are the Rincons. There is an old bomber that crashed somewhere up there and I used to go hiking looking for it... Never found it because there are a bunch of trees growing through it now. Probably just a rusted fuselage left by now.

That’s cool that I was in your old stomping grounds. I should have checked in for advice but we didn’t plan on going there. It was a last minute call by my son. We were planning on going to Sedona but he decided it was too crowded
