First frost of the year at the lake. It got down 31F last night and it showed this morning.
A late blooming Rudbeckia got caught in the frost.
The frost on the grass contrasting the red foliage as the sun comes up.
The bee balm has been thriving this fall in the cool weather but won't last long as the temperatures drop.
Once the sun came up the frost was living on borrowed time.
The mist and the leaf color combo is amazing. Too cold for most people to be out makes it nice and tranquil.
I have never seen real frost. Where I live there are none. The images you show are interesting.
It's come close, but we haven't had a frost yet.

Late for us, too. Average frost date is October 10th. Old Farmers almanac says so.
