Our lake is frozen over.
Its been foggy in the mornings.
With the low temperatures the fog is freezing on the trees.
This white pine has both the snow from the last storm and ice crystals from the freezing atmosphere.
The sun and the mountains are hiding behind the low clouds.
Pretty day but cold and overcast does get old 😅
Ice crystals add to the beauty of the snow.
The moisture in the air sometime forms crystals out from the branches. But my hands got cold before I got any crisp photos 😊

Thanks. Finally warming up a bit 30F this morning. More warming and rain coming this weekend. Rain this time of year can be a mess. I would almost prefer it just stayed colder haha

We had a warm day yesterday. It went to 41f. Top layer of snow melted, the snow on the trees is gone. Not on the ground though hahaha next week it goes down to -0.4f again with new snow ❄️
Yes, the rain doesn’t make it nice. I would prefer the cold too.
You get many or any snowmobiles ripping on that amazing lake once its fully froze?
Oh yeah. There is a long network of trails that actually ends (starts 🤔) at the lake. Not quite enough ice yet. The lake is deep in the middle so you have to be cautious. 100 ft +
