Yes that looks exactly the same idea. Interesting. I saw that they used spinning wheels color wheels as idea for color tv long ago. But didn´t expect it in the digital age, of course, Amiga 500 is also long time ago. Very interesting to see, didn´t expect that
i still have the Amiga , but i no longer have the digitizer i used an old Philips b/w security camera back then for the digitizing :)
