a turn for the terns
One day recently I was picking up Zoey our Granddaughter from school, when I do that I head to the school early to get a good parking spot and as it was a nice day and I had about an hour to spare I had my camera bag with me and heading down by the water.
ON this day I noticed there were plenty of terns flying around and so I decided to see if I could catch some shots of them
Apparently these are common terns, why not just plain terns for this variety I think they look far from common and are beautiful

Now getting shots of them is indeed a challenge as they move so fast flying back and forth here and there, so I took a ton of shots of them hoping to catch some that were ok to share, and got quite a few some of which I will share in this post
Now this next photo is one I would not normally share, but I decided to share it anyway to highlight how fast they move and how much of a challenge it was to get some of them, the tern out of focus and almost flying out of shot, I also got many where it has flown out of shot and hence just a shot of a portion of the sky LOL

I know this is a shot some may not like but I find it kind of cool the tern about to dive to catch a fish and a fishing boat in the background

this is perhaps the best time to get a crisp shot they pause for a brief second in this position just before they dive into the water
